Hi, I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. Here goes, I had an appt today w/ my pcp, while my DH was in waiting room the office had the tv on. At the end of the show there was an ad for a lawyers firm, they said if you had any kidney problems following a colonoscopy to give their office a call. My DH didn't hear what problems or who the lawyers were, I'm not interested in who the lawyers were. We were wondering if anyone has heard of specific problems w/ kidneys after the procedure. What kind of problems, how long after the procedure, that kind of thing. My DH had a colonoscopy and 2 months ago had a kidney infection AND stones.

If anyone can shed any light on this, I would appreciated it so much. Thank you for any responses.

God bless.  Alice.

The lawsuits they are talking about have to do with the preparation of Fleets Phospho soda and severe kidney problems. I don't think they were talking about something like an infection or stones, neither of which would probably be from the prep. You could always call but unless there was some lasting damage I doubt they would be interested. Did you daughter have a kidney infection or a bladder infection? The prep they use has a warning on it. It is very high salt concentrate. The problems is something that would show up very fast, I think and not be something that is correctible. Remember these are lawyers hoping to make a fast buck on your pain and suffering so unless it is something that they could collect much money for they would not be interested as a large percentage of it will go to them.

Dear Canyonbabe, thank you so much for getting back to me. My husband didn't hear the whole story, obviously. He just heard about problems w/ kidneys AFTER colonoscopy. He had a kidney infection and stones a couple of months ago. It was awhile after he had the procedure done, so I would assume there was no connection. Thank you, I feel better getting the rest of the story.

God bless.   Alice.
