I have ibs-d but still testing and my anxiety is getting the best of me over this. I really want to try something for it but would rather go natural first before my doctore puts me on something. Has anyone heard of these supplements, Valerian, Passion Flower, L-Thearnine? They are all for anxiety. Also the supplement Seredyn has all three of these in it. Please if anyone takes natural supplements for anxiety let me know what you take and how it works for you or any info on the ones I just posted would be great. I have a dr appt Weds. and would like to talk to him about anxiety but would like to have some info to take with me.

I have tried l-theanine and I think it works, but no sure if it really does. Xanax is the best when I am at my wits end, I know it;s nit a natural thing, but it is quick. I could use it right now, my stomach is really cramping up and gurgling. I feel lousy and want it to go away. Let me know if you have any luck with anything else. I see this was a week ago, did you get to the doctor yesterday? What did he say?

He wants me to take immodium every day along with some fiber to see if that will help stable my urgency. I have to start out with 1 immodium for 3 days and keep a journal of what I take when I take it and how I felt and if I was able to leave the house. He thinks my anxiety is what is causing my ibs-d. I can say I do agree because I am fine if I am at home or somewhere I am comfortable but when I am out and about or traveling I can't deal with it, my anxiety kicks in and I instantly have to use the restroom and I dont have much time to get there. I have Lorazepam that he gave me back in Dec and I took it for about a week but it seemed to make me more irritable and I surely don't need that. So I quit taking it. I really want to try something natural but if I have to go the meds way I surely will to get it under control. I go back in 2 weeks so we will see what happens.
