Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get rid of nausea? I'm nauseaous almost everyday and take ginger pills, with no help really. My nausea seems to be the only huge factor in my IBS (only dirrehea every once and a wile) but its so bad that I can't really live my life because i feel like I'm just on the verge of vomiting all the time. Its been like this since last August. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Have you asked your doctor for anti-nausea meds like Zofran?

I tried ginger tea, didn't find it hugely helpful. Peppermint tea sounds cliched, but I find if I'm feeling sick or have heartburn it helps. Brew it strong, and sip it really slowly, letting your stomach get used to the volume of liquid gradually.

Ps. I was offered a prescription for something anti-nausea from my GP, but turned it down because there was a tiny risk of muscle spasms that cause your eyes to roll back in your head. If you're desperate enough to want to try, you could ask your GP.

Hello,
I am new to this site and I already feel like maybe a broken record because of the postings I have visited are all similar issues. Your symptoms are some ot the symptoms I was having. My original symptoms were occasional diarrhea, stomache discomfort, nausea and heartburn. I was diagnosed with IBS and was steadily given more and more medications to mask the symptoms.

My symptoms have worsened to the point where I was having symptoms regularily and heartburn constantly (even with an empty stomach). I recently was diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant and Celiac disease. As long as I stay away from gluten (it is in so many items) I now longer have the heartburn or bowel problems and I never realized how good my stomach should feel. I never realized my stomach was hurting steady until it no longer was.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

I have IBS. I wanted to find out how many of you out there with IBS suffer with nausea as a symptom. I feel extremely nauseated in the morning. Then towards the afternoon it is still there but bearable. Does anything help with this. I have no appetite at all.
If you have these symptoms, can you explain how it affects you?
