Needs some suggestions!!

I have been suffering from self diagnosed IBS since about 6 years. I have all the symptoms with predominant constipation.

1) I seem to be able to relieve myself with more ease when I listen to soft music while in the loo.
2) tickling myself gently (feet, thighs, back, neck, abdomen) seems to help me relieve myself better as well. So also does massaging
3)Cigarette smoking in the loo has the same effect. It works better with a hot beverage. (Lemon tea works best)

Now is this IBS or do i have an anxiety disorder that's tensing my bowel muscles? I have been treated for anxiety with no effect but only collateral damage and side effects.
I dont feel wound up all the time so it can't be anxiety, although I react to loud sound stimuli excessively.

I really need help. I've had about enough of smoking half a dozen fags a day just to go to the darned loo, it takes me around 30 minutes on an average to pass some stool what with so many procedures to follow and am having to spend half my time in the loo.
There are times when I get SICK of the loo, like really SICK and I say darn you IBS! am not going to the loo anymore do whatever the hell you want and then after a few days I get even more sick and the whole drama begins all over again.

On top of all this am in my 3rd year in one of the best law schools and its just WAY TOO hectic that I feel like giving up on my life(It could be depression but whatever it is, it's very shortlived, genrally for a few hours or one day at the most after which I start fighting back again as usual cool )

Anyone see whats happening with me? This thing is ruining my life!

P.S: if you don't know what am talking about with music and tickling and massages, please try it yourself (IBS-C and A types) and give me feedback. I would like to know if its having the same effect on other people as well.

Oh and you have to tickle yourself for a few minutes at least, real gentle, any part that tickles will do actually. And it works best if you are not expecting it to yield results, cause if you are worrying about whether it will work, you are again tensing your muscles and Voila! purpose defeated.
