I'm just wondering whether anyone knows if deodorants / anti persperiants or sprays in general can act as a trigeer for IBS and cause bowel discomfort.

I work in a school and when teachers who use a lot of perfume come to talk to me, I immediately get very queasy and within a minute or two I have to run to the bathroom. I can't go to movies or closed in areas because it seems like all the different perfumes/scents everyone uses, makes me very sick.

This is a very difficult issue to deal with, because schools are not scent free areas, although I wish they were. The last time I went to the doctor, the nurse was wearing perfume and I got sick. I did tell the doctor that I thought nurses should be scent free and he agreed.

Good luck.
