I wake up in the middle of the night with the worst pains. I run to the bathroom as if I have to go very bad. But when I get there nothing happens. I continue to feel extremely nauseated and at the same time I start to feel like Im going to puke and start breaking out in a full body sweat that drenches me.  I finally am able to pass a very hard but small bowel. And second after that I have water type bowel that relieves my pain and nauseatedness. But for the next 5 or 6 hours continue to have diarrhea. Unless I take Pepto. then the problem stops shortly after.
This happens to me all the time. At least once a week. Not to mention my daily problems with gas, diarrhea, and pains in stomach.

Does this sound like I have IBS?  Do you guys get sweats like I mentioned above? The doctor said I have IBS not crohns.
let me know if my above story sounds like what happens to you?
Thanks for your time.

I too have fullbody sweats during meal and lasts 20-25 minutes after meal is done.  I average
45-55 BM's a day.  My Pain is located on the upper right quadrent of the abdomin the pain is unbearable at a 7- 10 on the pain scale. I am barely able to hold solid foods as I am nauseated everytime I eat and vomit regularly .  Sometimes even the sight and smell of food sets me off into dry heaving or vomiting.  I don't know how , but I have not lost weight through all of this.  The past few days I have felt like I was going to phaint or pass out.  I feel weak  and completely exhausted all the time no matter how sleep I get.  The only way I do get to sleep is by taking Ambien or Phennigan suppositories if I can keep it inside of me long enough.  I don't know what to do anymore one of my G.I. doctors said this is definnately not IBS, but other than that I still don't have any answers.  I have had ever test I think they can do everything comes out normal. Ihave asked for another HIDA Scan but they will not do it, even though I think I miss timed it.   I am existing through this by the way without any pain meds as they it makes abdomine pain worse, but don't see any difference in severityn when I was on pain meds, in fact I was alittle more comfortable.  This has been going on for a year and half now, but I have heard of longer durations before they are able to diagnose something.  I am still praying my situation is cleared up sooner rather than later, and I hope your is, too.

I was going to the Hosp ER 3 times a week sweating and in severe stomach pain for almost four years and had gallbladder removed for 10.000 dollars and still had pain
until i cut out wheat, gluten, dairy and cut down on fruit and sugar! I am pain-free now
and enjoy steak & potatoes and ice tea ! theres still alot to eat out there! no more
hunting for restrooms. watch out for antibiotic meats and take some good probiotics.
Good-Luck

p.s. I believe the pain is trapped Gas is why the pain gets easier after using the restroom, I found Gas-X thin strips under the tongue works best for pain fast!
