I think we all have our IBS staples that we need to keep on hand. Like you, I have mine too jt. For example, I always need one what I call fluff piece of fiction type novel. Nothing substantial, just a pleasant escape. Sometimes I borrow one of the 7 Harry Potter books we have here at home, especially the last one - it always takes my mind off my IBS woes. So many, many favorite scenes from that final book, they just have to include them in the two part movie finale.

My husband hates this but I always want plain kleenex tissues on hand, preferably generic. Sometimes it's so much faster than tearing off another piece of TP. I wish someone could honestly tell me if putting tissues in the toilet is bad for your plumbing. Because don't you think by now I'd know if I clogged up the entire system? LOL And I don't use tissues every day, just when I'm in that messy stage. Which ironically I happen to be in right now.

A few other staples I keep on hand are Bay's plain english muffins. I sometimes freeze a second pack so I never run out. I have one every day, it's how I start my day and kick off the eating fun I go thru. LOL

Bananas would be next. Small applesauce cups too.

I live in Ohio and when there's a winter storm predicted, I stock up on all these items. Of course like you, TP too!

You should have seen my grocery cart for Y2K! I ran into a mom I knew from my kid's school and the look she gave me when she saw my items - about 48 rolls of TP. No lie. Yogurt (now I take a probiotic pill each night instead). Bananas. Batteries. Bottled water.

Remember when we thought the world would end (not really) at 12:01 January 1, 2000? LOL We thought our power would be out for days.....he he

I still laugh at all that I stocked up on back then. I also remember announcing - okay, that's the last bit of Y2K water! I probably used the TP by the end of the month. LOL

I start to panic when I'm down to my last 4 rolls of TP. And I always have to have at least one unopened pack of Glade scented oil candle refills. I'm not fond of the aerosol type air freshers. Another thing I have to have is my special stinky hand soap. I figure if I'm going to be washing my hands that much I better have a soap that I love the smell. And I have a small bookshelf in my bathroom with some mindless reading stocked. I have plenty of short stories that I can read in one sitting. I also have a pack of baby wipes( the ones that didn't work so well with the baby work fine for me) and a foot stool.
