I have been having severe pain im my upper right side of my abdomen  naseaua and vomiting. I also notice when I vomit  its yellow. The pain comes and goes   and I notice the pain get severe if I eat fatty or fried foods  or any solid foods at all that i cant keep it down.  I have been living on  clear liquids and  soups.  I also noticed that my  bowel movements  have been yellow .  I have had a ct scan and an ultrasound that both came back normal. My dr wants me to have a hida scan done because they  think my gallbladder is not functioning ,inflammed and that I could have fatty deposits in my gallbladder making me sick . My question is how do you deal with the pain? and other symptoms of gallbladder problems? Right now for a short  period of time my dr has me on zofran to deal with the naseau and vomiting.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine were - I had a CCK Biliary Test which duplicated my body functions after a meal (totally painless) and determined that my gall bladder was nearly not functioning.  If it 'died' I would have had to have major surgery rather than laproscopic which had a 5 day recouperation.   Not sure if that's what your dr wants you to have or not.  Within two days after the results were in I had laproscopic surgery to remove - and it was very much enlarged - felt like a million after it was removed after suffering the months and all previous tests were negative.  The pain goes away when you have the gall bladder removed.

The yellow bowel movements are bile salts that are affecting them.  I also am one of the 'lucky' people that have diarrhea since my gall bladder was removed due to the bile salts.  This causes nearly immediate bowel movements and 'running' to the bathroom when you eat almost anything.  To this day, thinking about greasy foods makes me queasy.  Additionally, gall bladder disease seems to run in my family - many women (only) on my Dad's side of the family have had their gall bladders removed.

I've also used aloe vera juice mixed with water (half and half) to calm the insides down and have also had great success using calcium citrate (must be citrate), and have a new lease on life!

Best of luck with whatever course you choose!
