My apologies if this already came through. I am a new member and not sure I sent the first post correctly.
I have severe gallbladder pain (at least I think it is GB pain) I have severe pain under my ribcage and in between my shoulder blades. The pain comes in waves and was terrible the past 2 days almost all day long. Then yesterday at 6 am I followed some recommendations and quit eating and just have been taking in water and apple juice and flax seed water. I still had pain last night and some overnight but am pain free since I got up at 5 am. I have a dull ache in my back but that is all. I have a headache from no caffeine but otherwise the pain is gone.

How long do I drink the water and juice and how do i introduce foos.
Thanks for any help you can give. I am so afraid to eat.

hi, i am new to forum, i am 62 years old, female, i have had very bad health since my fourth pregnancy,30 years ago! it took until 2006 to find i had a diaphragmatic hernia, which required 6 hrs of surgery,i prayed the pain, exhaustion, diarr. dehydration, chest pain, flu like symptoms and undiagnosed anemia, which gave me a sore tongue, mouth ulcers, cold sores and restless legs would go after the surgery but to my horror it didnt, doctors intimated me,but my health was so bad i had no quality of life, 2008 ibs diagosed, but 2009 it turned out to be celiac intollerance, due to wheat allergy, diet helped pain, but i think i have gallbladder symptoms,i have still pain under heart and above ribs, especially after eating anything,i have nausea, vomiting and even landed in a & e last week with chest pain, the diarrhea is 8 to 10 times a day and has been for years, leaving me with no vitamin and mineral intake i am bedridden, especially in the mornigs for hours with terrible weakness, a gastro told me it would be worth trying questrian to see if it was habba syndrome (ibs can be mistaken for this) but after 3 x 25mg of questrian the diarrhea was worse and it was chalk like in colour,i am prescribed dioralyte now which helps with electrolytes so not as weak, its went on so long now doctors dont want to know me, its a nightmare i cant speak up for myself my gp just mumbles at me, and i say ok and walk out but i am desperate, in 2003 my husband had no hope for me i was so ill, but i couldnt even get a housecall, i think it all caught up with my body,i promise i fight this with everything ive got,but i am so weary being ill all the time, can anyone give me advice, even on how to be assertive with doctor, anyhelp appreciated. It sounds to me very much like gallstones. As your pain is so severe it could also possibly be infected or a stone could have got lodged in your bile duct, this would cause jaundice, and make your eyes and skin appear a yellow tone. I would go to the and see a doctor as it needs to be removed totally to stop the pain. You will never be pain free and live a normal life if you dont get it removed.

For now, you must start on a NO fat diet. Water and fruit juices are good but you can't live on just liquid. The foods i am on at the moment are plain white fish, chicken breast with no skin, potatos, pasta, any vegetables and any fruit (any food must be either boiled, baked, broiled, NOT fried). In all you should probably be eating a maximum of 5g of fat per day. This is ALL types of fat, not just saturated. If you are getting low on energy, some jelly type sweets which have zero fat and zero fat yogurts will help.

People like myself that suffer from the pain either between the shoulder blades or perhaps just the right blade, can you do me a favour and try this for me, any-time you have this discomfort, can you just try lying down on your back, either on your couch or on your bed flat, the reason I ask is I have found that by doing so it eases the pain basically right away, well for me it does, and I wonder if by doing this would indicate just exactly where the pain is coming from?
