Hello all,

I've joined today to ask a question that has made me life a living hell the last 3 years.

First you should know a bit about my medical history to get a better idea of what could possibly be wrong because GI doctor tells me that everything was normal in the stool test I had done about 3 months ago.

Anyways, when I was three years old I was physically abused causing me to have a seizure from hitting me head and later on a stroke. At age 18 my doctors told my parents that I should have the vp shunt that's (currently disconnected) to be removed or replaced. That never happened, I never got any medical treatment as a kid even though my parents had workers insurance.

When I was 19 I started having severe constipation. I was never like this when I was younger. Well, I started to see neurosurgeon to ask If they could remove or replace the shunt. So various of them sent me to get xrays and so I did, although It didn't go well. The first time I laid down in the cat scan I couldn't continue because I also have a large cyst in my left hand which makes the machine stimulate my nerves which makes my body start to get very, very tingly as If I were to pass out. This continued to happen on each cat scan I tried. I finally got one scan that showed the shunt disconnected laying in my abdomen but the cap is still in my head and It's migrating as I can't feel it as much as I could before.

Lately I've been getting very light poop. I'm wondering If CSF fluid can do this? I'm also urinating very dark every morning although I don't feel dehydrated, I drink only water and about 72 ounces a day, give or take a bit. I also take Metamucil which helps tremendously. I don't take any medication and I don't drink hardly ever. My urine is fine through out the day.

Well, I guess that's about all. Looking forward to hearing some opinions and maybe chat a bit.

Best Regards,

I am sorry to hear about your issues.
This is way more technical then anyone could answer here I believe and something you should be working with your doctors on.
"Lately I've been getting very light poop. I'm wondering If CSF fluid can do this?"
I really can answer this, hopefully your doctors can.
We might be abloe to offer some suggestions on the constipation side of things. And chatting is no problem. ;)
But this is outside of my knowledge on IBS for sure.
I hope they can help you and offer some advise and answer some of your questions and sorry to hear your having these issues.
