Hello all, I am usually on A/P but really need some help here. I am a Diabetic and was sent to classes last week. The dietician set me up on a meal plan that includes a lot of 100% wheat and milk products. As you can guess, it is creating havoc with my IBS, but my Blood sugars have been excellent. Am I just caught between a rock and a hard place here. I control the Diabetes and let the IBS run wild? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry that you have to suffer with one or the other. I am not diabetic but controlling your blood sugar I would think is so much more important. I know that doesn't sound very comforting when you are hitting the toilet all the time. Did you mention to the dietician that you have IBS as well? If you don't want to go the rx route to control your IBS symtpoms, there are many OTC remedies that may help (with your doctor's blessing of course). Digestive Advantage for IBS has helped a lot of people here and it actually is supposed to help with all symptoms. I'm sorry that I don't have much advice on this, hopefully someone can come along and help you out a bit more.
