Hey guys!
Ive got yet another question. (lol) Does anyone get a weird feeling in their stomach right before they have diarrhea? When I end up having D, it starts usually while im eating or right after, and my intestines start rumbling and I get gassy and crampy, and then my stomach feels a little weird. Not like ouch its hurting or OMG i need to go throw up (thank heavens), but just a little uncomfortable. Then, after I have my mad rush to the bathroom, my stomach feels alot better! Is that just a byproduct of your intestines going haywire? I also have a verrry nervous stomach (if im anxious at all, my stomach is first to let me know with some nausea lol)...could the anxiety from having a D attack cause my stomach to kinda feel weird?

Another thing...my mom FINALLY is breaking and might take me to go see a hollistic medicine doctor.  Im starting to think now that I have an overgrowth of candida because I have all the IBS symptoms PLUS the fatigue, sinus pains, aches and icky stuff on my tongue that are all symptoms of a candida overgrowth.  One of our good family friends has a candida overgrowth and she went and did that thing where you stick your feet in the ion-charged water and it tells you what toxins are in your body and/or what your allergic to, etc. My mom is a little fed up with the medicinal approach..I think we're going to try it the natural way!

Oh, and I've started taking 600mg of calcium and vitamin D a day b/c I can no longer drink cows milk and get my calcium..and its not helping me when I have my daily diarrhea.(I usually only get D once a day, right while or right after im eating lunch or dinner.) Should I take more?

Sorry about the long post..lol tongue   Hope yall had a great day!

Hi blondie,
Yes I get really weird pains before I have D but I also sometimes get nausea too. Feeling better after a bm is common with IBS.

The type of calcium that helps with the D is the calcium carbonate. It sounds like the calcium you have is calcium citrate which is usually accompianed with vitamin D. You will want to see the word "carbonate" on the front label. Hope this helps.

Take Care

Hi Pam,
Welcome to the site :)

I'm sorry that you are going through such a rough time. I understand what you are saying about the pain. Has the doctor given you anything like a narcotic for the pain or just mild pain killers? Sarita (another member here) has had problems really bad and has made many trips to the hospital and has been on strong narcotics for the pain. She would be able to relate to your situation. Please keep reading the posts and posting. Nice to have you here.

Take Care

Hi Pam,
I'd like to wish you Welcome! as well. :-)
Have you tried a heating pad, or a warm bath (maybe with aroma therapy)? I know that sometimes helps me when I'm in pain, or even have period cramps.
And yes, please check out all our resources here at HealingWell. This is a wonderful site with lots of supportive people.
Take care...
