Hi everyone!
Today is such a backwards messed up day food wise! So this morning I had a Turkey Sandwich with Soy Cheese and a bit of mustard on it (all of which I've been told are ok) and had a massive attack! It hurt so much! Then tonight I went out for dinner to a burger place (probably not the best choice considering the attack this morning, I knew I was taking a HUGE risk) had a cheeseburger, fries and a pop and I'm fine... no attack, no pain, nothing... WHAT???? That makes absolutely no sense to me! Anyone else had a day like this? Or is my body just completely messed up? lol

That is a perfect example that our bodies are so weird LOL... was there anything else that could have given you problems besides the food in the morning? I find that mornings are the worse for me because I am non stop which really does a number on my bowels (the stress, the continuous movement, etc.) Although food is one of our biggest triggers, its not the only thing that causes us problems. Most docs are stumped on that one too.

Thanks for the reply!
Yesterday morning I didn't do anything before I had breakfast. I had the day off and I was lying on the couch watching tv. So I didn't have a stressful morning at all! Thats why I was so confused when I had the "attack". I really wish someone would come up with a way to fix what is wrong with all of us! That would be amazing!

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't get it! Yesterday morning I had a bagel w/ cream cheese (my usual), soup for lunch, and then for dinner I had a healthy meal at a Japanese place (soup, salad, shrimp, rice) and today I woke up at 4am with D and I still feel just so full.
It doesn't make sense. Wish I could help but I'm afraid this is what "IBS" is all about.

Hey, when I had the bad gall bladder, I could eat pizza and fried foods pretty well, which are the two biggest no-no's known to a bad gall bladder, but caffeine was a killer for me (much less of a known culprit). Even now I can't tolerate caffeine. After my surgery I went to where I could have some, then I couldn't tolerate it, then I could. I finally just gave up on the see-sawing back and forth and said, no, I will not have any caffeine at all anymore so I don't have to worry if this will be the time it bothers me.

I have definitely noticed that there are times my stomach is screwed up and it's not a matter of WHAT I eat but THAT I eat. I could eat crackers and rice and I would be sick. I could eat a big plate of greasy mexican nachos and be sick. That's hard for other people to understand sometimes, why you're eating a pizza when you're complaining about your stomach being off (if everything's going to bother you, might as well eat something you like--that's my motto), or why you're in the bathroom after eating two saltines, but that's just the way it is. When the stomach's off, it's off, and nothing short of fasting will keep you out of the bathroom (and even that won't keep you out of it completely).
