hey, first relax a bit--I know how hard that is, but for me stress makes my diarrhea worst.
it sounds like you may want to get a different doctor--one that will work with you and give you the information you need.
i used to have accidents too, they are horrid. mine were caused by eating gluten.
if you didn't already, start a food diary and track what happens to your bowels and see if you can find your trigger foods.
there are anti-spasmodics for the pain, and i was even put on an antidipressant for a short period of time.
what tests have you had? there are SO many out there, and i would hate to think you were diagnosed with IBS without a proper work-up, especially if chrons is in your family.
take care of yourself--and ask for help!!! take time to rest and keep posting, the people on this forum will be great to you.

what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

Hi Kelly,
Welcome to HealingWell!  :-)
Have you thought about calcium treatment for your D?  Here is a post from lnape about using calcium to control you D:  Calcium info

It is a long post but well worth it.  Many here on the site take calcium - it helps soothe an inflamed gut, and it binds your stool.

Have you been tested for Celiacs?  During the colonoscopy did they take biopsies?  Did your doc send blood to an IBD specialist (here in the US many docs use Prometheus Laboratories)?

Take care.
