I found out that there is a direct relationship with hypothyroidism and IBS if you have constipation. mad
I realized that one complaint of hypothyroidism is constipation.  Constipation can be complicated more if you're thyroid is not working well.
I have hypothyroidism and my thyroid is messed up now.  I am  uping my meds to get it working properly which will help my constipation and maybe alleviate a lot of the IBS.
Thought for those of you who have hypothyroidism.
That was discussed with my gastroendrocrinologist who did confirm my theory and said hypo can really heighten you're sympoms with IBS.

When I changed to my current GI and was then IBS-C, one of the first thing my doc did was do a thyroid test so you are correct, hypothyroidism almost always will cause constipation.
