Palpitations caused by bowel passage

I've been noticing frequent palpitations even some hours before bowel passage, and their stopping right after toiletry. When I eat, it seems to trigger them, but i suspect it's the peristalsis of the bowel getting revved up. Could go for months no problem, and then for months with the problem constant. Good bowels two  or three times a day.

Hi Weeorphan,

   I have noticed that when I have stool in my transverse colon, that's when I get alot of irregular beats.  My theory is that it lies up against the heart, and some of us have really sensitives hearts, that like to kick back, when something presses against it.

   Several of us over on the GERD forum get irregular beats when we eat, especially if our GERD is acting up.

      Whatever the's a bit disconcerting!

I tend to get the irregular beats or palpitations too, especially when I'm gassey. It seems like it's too much pressure in the upper part of my tummy. When I start to relieve the gas, I lose the irregular beats and feel better.
