This morning I was having some pain in the lower right side of my stomach. I passed some gas and still felt the pain.  I went to the bathroom, As I was passing the gas something else came out.  It was a little bit longer then a inch long and a bit over a half a inch wide.  It was almost like a eyeball.  It was completly smooth with a clear layer about 1/8 inch thick and the middle was rust colored. It was almost egg shaped.  I am a 24 year old male. I drink and smoke. about 3 weeks ago I had really bad pain on the bottom right side of my stomach and a really sharp tender spot of pain just below and to the right of my belly button. The pain also shot up the side of my stomach to my ribs.  It was almost a uncomfortable feeling of pain. I had a cat scan then and the doctors said they didnt know what was wrong.  I really concerned about what I passed today.  I have never seen anything like it in my life.  The pain still continues on my right side.

Please help

Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,
Welcome to Healing Well :)
Has your doctor done any stool samples on you to test for blood, parasites, etc? I would definitely bring this up to your doctor if you feel uncomfortable about it. I've had some very interesting poops myself so I know how it feels when you just don't feel right about something. The pain sounds bad. Did they do any other tests besides a cat scan? Any scopes, ultrasounds? Being on the right side especially upper to your ribs could be your gallbladder. There are others on here that could give you more info on that. If I were you, I would push your doctors, not giving you any answers does not solve your problem. Whether its IBS, IBD, or gallbladder... you need to know what is wrong and what they can do for you as far as treatment.
Take Care

Hi Roger,
Welcome to the site! :-)
This may sound totally disgusting, BUT, did you happen to retrieve this object? I'd think about taking it to the doc.

Is it possible that it's a big hunk of mucous?

What color was it overall? I know you mentioned it being rusty-colored in the center. If it was clearish or milky white or even yellowy (like snot when you have a sinus infection), then Cathy is probably right about it being mucous. Some people pass nothing but mucous sometimes. The reddish part may be blood, or just something you ate that color. Make sure you keep an eye out for blood on your toilet paper or more red-colored or especially black-colored stools since they can point to internal bleeding. Could be something as minor as a bleeding ulcer. Given your upper pain, they should probably check you with an endoscopy for stomach ulders. A bad gall bladder will cause tenderness and pain on the right upper side as well, but it is usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. But sometimes gall bladder symptoms don't come on all at once and it's possible to have one symptom in the beginning and then acquire more as time goes on.

You may not like hearing this, but alcohol is not good for people with IBS, and beer seems to be the worse of all. You might want to give up the drinks until you find out what's wrong with you and get it straightened out. If you have an ulcer, alcohol and anything acidic (citrus fruits, tomatoes, coffee) will make it hurt worse. Alcohol isn't very kind to bad gall bladders, either. Neither is caffeine.

Hey, I had a revelation yesterday evening. Get a digital camera and take a picture when you poop something weird and then print it out and take it to your doctor. Back when doctors did housecalls, looking at your poop was part and parcel of the business; what it looked like helped them determine what was wrong with you, especially before blood tests were standard. And sometimes it's just hard to describe poop.
