Hey i had a really weird thougth today...and im not saying i want this, but if i had a colonosopy bag, sorry if thats not how u spell it. U know the bag that u go to the loo in thats attached to the outside of ur stomach....well if i had that, would we have irritable bowel anymore??cos ud just go into the bag and it would all be ok??? I dont want a bag attt alll, but i just thought about it today...weird i know. what everyone think?

In my opinion... Because IBS is a problem with the digestive system, and not just the colon, I think you'd still have trouble. The gas, bloating and cramping probably wouldn't cease. Instead of trips to the toilet you'd be making trips to the bathroom to change the bag. Oh, not to mention you'd have to find a way to control the odor from the bag you're carrying around.
I agree with whoever asked the other day "Why can't we have a complete digestive transplant?"
