FYI IBS with colectomy

Just some info: it is possible to have IBS even if you've had a colectomy.  I had 7/8 of my large intestine removed seven years ago but have now developed IBS. My gastro doc told me that even though IBS is usually in the colon, it is possible to have it in the small intestine.

Yes, I had most of my colon removed and I have been suffering with ibs every since. So it is possible...
