Hey guys thanks once again for respondin 7Lil ad Canyonbabe711

Welll then i dont know what kind of a CT scan i had. Because they stuck a tube up my anus. Sorry i dont mean to get graphic but these boards is the one place i can freely write about my experiences. So back to my nightmare...lol... yea they stuck a tube in my anus and they filled it with liquid which i had to keep in. And i was told to drink about a litre of what tasted like orange juice somewhat without the sugar and then an hour later i was in doing a CT scan.

That is why it was very painful. But after the test it was ok because i got to go to the bathroom. darn i hope i dont have to redo the test since i kept my t-shirt on. But after i let everything out on the bowl i felt good hehe.

As for the no dairy yea i tried that for 3 weeks actually and nothing really changed. But today i had rice and potatoes and i went to the bathroom 5 times. I had 5 bowl movements all looking normal some of them having visible mucus. But the stools were well formed just a lil thin but long.

I just have one question can drinking Fleet and then throwing up after drinking it or taking Nexium, Pantaloc or Dicetel worsen or develop IBS??

And is there a live chat where ibs people go to interact and stuff ??

You must have had some sort of barium scan done. I had one of those years ago with regular exray but didn't know they did it with a CT scanner. That is totally different than what I had and I imagine Sarita. In mine they injected dye into my veins and then I went thru the scan. I honestly dont know what that was by name. I can see how that was painful if you had to hold the stuff in as my barium test years ago was. Usually they just do a colonscopy these days I thought. Back when I had mine done I don't think they did colonscopies very often.

Wow that sounds terrible! I just had an abdominal CT scan and it was NOT like that. I just went in yesterday for it and I had to drink the nasty barium and then had the radioactive dye injected in me, it wasn't pleasant but not near the experience you had. Poor thing.

Dee,
My mistake, I thought you were referring to an ultrasound, not CT scan. I've never had a CT scan. I did have the upper GI barium swallow - that wasn't fun. I had to drink the sludge and roll around on a table a few times and get x-rayed. Never was I in pain though. Sorry you had to go through that.
As for live chat.... HW does offer chat. You can find "Chat" right above the 'Forum Quick Jump'. I must admit though, hardly anyone is ever in the IBS chat room. Usually you can find people in the Entrance room. You can always post a thread on here about chat when you want to chat. Something like "I'll be in the chat room if anyone wants to join"--- It's sort of a long shot, but sometimes you can get a few people.
Take care.

Yes it was very painful and unfortable. But hopefully something will show up because honestly this is unbearable the symptoms. I dont get it these GI they are specialised and yet they know how important eating is and yet some of them dont seem to care. Its really scary.

Well hopefully this new GI specialist will come up with why i threw up 8 times on may 1st 2006 and developped IBS like symptoms. I just dont understand it or get it really....lol. I know i keep on repeating myself but these boards is a way in which i can cope with it and get feedback.

Cuz honestly it started with me feeling something in my stomach .. then i got a gas attack one day then i started getting smelling stools and a lot would come out( like my normal stool would come out and then a lot of thin stools and the smell) then started feeling discomfort on the left side of my abdomen but no pain. Then 2 months later threw up 8 times in a row and here i am 8 months later old Gi specialist telling me its IBS without running any tests just blood work so i got a new GI specialist and now the waiting process starts all over again.

Well thanks once again guys for listening

Did you say you had an EGD (upper GI scope)? That your doc ruled out an ulcer or H.Pylori, or GERD? All of which can cause vomitting. What about a parasite? Sorry, I may be confusing you with another member that is on Flagyl for possible parasites. It just isn't likely that you have IBS with all that vomitting. While you wait for answers, your best bet is to take probiotics. Keep pushing your doc for answers.
