Hey 7lil thanks for responding

Yes 7lil i have had an upper endoscopy done by my new GI specialist i am seeing. He said everything was fine. He requested blood tests as well but i havnt seen him since he has done the endoscopy i should see him dec 21.

The old specialist i was seeing said he is running out of things to do because i am healthy on paper. But he refused to do a colonoscopy or endoscopy or anything else. And was heading towards the IBS diagnosis.

Well how all of this started is that between march to april 2006 my stomach was acting wierd. I felt something wierd in my stomach...felt massive gas coming out. Then one day i saw red like stuff in the bowl. But no blood was on the toilette paper. Then the mucus came out and i was constipated. That was in march but the symptoms stopped. I experienced that in one day. The in April the excessive stools started and i felt some kind of wierd sensation on the left side of my abdomen and when i got that sensation more stool would come out but with a wierd smell. And started noticing a change in color. But i was still eating everything and anything no problem. I was experiencing bloating. I was having my regular 2 bowl movements a day just the one in the morning was just excessive.

Then i woke up on May 1st and threw up 8 times in a row. Just saw green stuff coming out near the end. I went to the ER as i needed a note for work only reason i went and they gave me FLeet to drink and that made me throw up even more. After that a couple of months went by i was still getting the huge stools in the morning and i was constipated at well. I would eat and get the urge to have a bowl movement but nothing would come out. Never experienced diarrea. I also noticed that the stools that came out when they did come out were all formed and then after a while they all broke up in little bits. But i was getting gas after anything i would eat but i would still digest it. At one point when i drank cold water it even irritated my stomach. And also i was urinating more than usual and got the urge more frequently as well.

I went to some local clinics and they put me on nexium for acid reflux for a month and then panatloc for 2 months and then gave me dicetel. One doctor at the clinic took his hands and put it deep inside my left hand side of my abdomen and i felt a lot of pain. That is when i started feeling the pain the next days and when i ate something. I would also feel the gas building up and would pass massive gas but then was fine. It was really wierd.

I stopped all the meds as i saw i was getting worse. After i stopped the meds i was referred to a GI.

So i dont know what i have...lol. But yea all of this started after i threw up 8 times.

Refresh my memory about your gallbladder.... I know you mentioned it when you got the CT. Was it abnormal? Is your doc following up on it? It isn't uncommon to have heartburn and vomit when you have a malfunctioning gallbladder.
Your vomitting frenzy on May 1st could have also been some sort of food poisoning or the 24 hr stomach flu. The way to correct the imbalance is to take lots of probiotics for at least a few weeks afterwords. Are you doing that? It should help with the bloating too.
I think the key for you is to stick to a particual med for a while, at least until the recommended time span. If it doesn't work, move on to the next med.
It's good that you have another doctor appt next week. Make sure to take a list with you of all your symptoms. It can be quite nerve racking when you're in with the doc; people have been known to get flustered and forget some things. Be prepared.... make a list of all your concerns.
How are you feeling these days? Are you still vomitting?

BTW - The green that you were vomitting is common - it is bile. When there is no food left to come up all that's left is the bile and acids our liver releases.

Hey 7Lil

Thanks for replying. I have yet to get the results of my recent CT scan i am gonna get all of that on dec 21 along with the blood tests.

However the old Gi specialist did an ultrasound and they said everything was good and they told me to point to where the pain was and i pointed to the left side of my abdomen. They said there is nothing there and that im fine. He also tested for blood in stool and ova and said i have no parasites and that is also when he said i dont know what to do u seem perfectly find so i found a new GI.

Yes i think as well that the vomitting on may 1st was either food poisoning or stomach flu. I had it before, about 3 years ago, and after 3 weeks my stomach went back to normal. And the medication was for acid reflux. I wasnt really getting that much acid coming up just once in awhile. The dicetel i had no clue why i was given that and i was given no indication as to why im taking that.

Right now im feeling very tired as im avoiding meals because of work and school. But when i do have a meal it comes right back out as a bowl movement but they are formed.

The vomitting is all over. I feel nausious but that is because i am beyond hungry at times and if i dont put anything in my system i feel nausious. I have already listed everything that has happenend since march 2006.

But the pain that i felt when the doctor put his hands in my left side of abdomen is that a sign of inflammation ?? or is this indeed ibs.

Did you have a lot of diarrhea the day you felt that pain on your left side? Or, were you constipated? Either of those can cause pain on the left. Your sigmoid colon is on the left side and it stores all the waste before it is released from the body. If you are having D it contracts a lot and becomes sore. The exact opposite can happen when you're constipated - It gets clogged and bulges causing pain. If you're having constant left side pain that you know isn't associated with constipation, you should see an OB/GYN about it (I'm assuming you're female - I hope I'm right). It could be any number of things: a cyst, pelvic inflammatory disease, urinary tract infection, etc. If your pain alternates or is consistently spread throughout your abdomen, it could indeed be IBS. Usually IBS pain isn't localized in 1 spot consistently and indefinitely.

Hey 7Lil

Hehe well im a 23 year old male. And i have never experienced diarrea until one day i tried prune juice and drank the whole god darn bottle. Never doing that again.

That day i felt the pain i think i was constipated as im always constipated. The pain or discomfort is always on the left side of my abs i have never felt it anywhere else. When i eat i feel the discomfort there as well. Once i was pushing so hard that i felt something getting bigger and bigger on the left side of the abdomen.

And as i said before one doctor took his hands and dug deep into the left side of my abdomen and i felt the pain even more... i was like wow. But yea the discomfort and pain is usually on the left side of my abdomen i havnt felt it anywhere else. And thats about it. After as the months progessed i started feeling ibs like symptoms. But the pain now on the left side went away for awhile. But if it comes back its at the same exact spot.

Oh dee, I'm sorry, I don't know why I thought you were female. **blushing**
Anyway, maybe your pain is from constipation. Are you taking fiber supplements ritually, or have you spoken to your doc about Zelnorm? Do you drink enough water a day and exercise?
LOL about your prune juice experience. I think we've all done something similar... You live and learn. Start slow. Same goes for fiber and probiotics. You need to give your body time to adjust.
It seems like your doc did the usual tests and ruled out common culprits. I would say that unless you're having lots of D and/or blood in your stool, or can't for the life of you have a BM, you wouldn't need a colonoscopy. The vomitting and constipation sometimes can indicate an intestinal blockage or narrowing - but you said you do have bowel movements and that they're normal shaped.
I'm curious to see what else your doc will suggest on the 21st.
