I am think of looking into hypnosis for help with my ibs-d/ibs -c roller coaster. My dad is now very sick and i need to be helping my parents. Does this work?

Hi scared,
There have been a few people on the board that have thought about hypnosis. I can only remember 1 that bought the audio version and actually like it; said it helped some. I'll try and find the post to bump it (keeping my fingers crossed that I can dig it up).

Sorry, I couldn't find the post.  It didn't even come up when I did a 'search' for it.  I did, however, find an old post about a group therapy session.  It seemed to work for this member.  Have you thought about looking into something like there.  Here's the post in case you want to check it out: Group Sessions for IBS

So I found this article here at HealingWell about IBS and Hypnosis.  Here is a quick little exert:

"...the evidence is overwhelming that IBS symptoms do respond to hypnosis. Not only do they respond, but they respond dramatically!"

i have found Taoist Tai Chi very helpful for all my health conditions, and Sacrial cranial Message- a lisenced message therapist would do this.
25/F migraines since 6th grade, sleep apnea diagnosed at 16, Ulceriative Colitis and/or Crohn's disease diagnosed at 18 &19, GERD/ hiatal hernia since age 18, tremors diagnosed at 24 (side effect from medication), HPV 2003...
