Mercyme, carbs are terrible for causing gas. I don't know if you eat a lot of pasta, rice, potatos etc, but maybe cutting down on them ould help? Sorry, i don't really know what else to suggest.
I do find when i have bad gas, when its verypainful, i take a small glass of warm, not hot, water, about 2 to 3 inches worth and one teaspoon of Bicarbinate of soda. Down it in one and wait. It USUALLY shifts all the gas and can be rather embarrassing so make sure you're in good company!! lol On a couple of occasions (but very rarely) this had caused a serious bout of D, but i have always felt much better afterwards.I have been told this may not be a good idea if you have high blood pressure, but my mum uses this method, has really high bp and never had a problem.
