Ugh, just when i thought i was getting over this crap...

I've been doing amazingly well the last 3 weeks. Like, no symptoms whatsoever - thought I was becoming well again. Looks like I overdid it today, though, and I'm definitely paying for it. I just feel funny - I know it's bad gas pains, but I just don't feel good, i'm kind of queasy, and just blah. It's my own fault though. I had a latte this morning (milk usually triggers me), thought I was fine, ate sushi for lunch, and then went with my finacee and his roommate to Moe's, and had a burrito. Probably a bad idea, as it had a ton of onions in it. me + onions = NOT friends. And then i ate some potato salad at about 7:00 tonight, and that also had onions ... I know I was horribly bad today, and I know I shouldn't have eaten any of that stuff ... I just thought I was back to normal. What a lovely wake-up call to see that I'm obviously not...

And what's especially crappy is that I have a test in the morning. I really need to go to sleep, but I just feel icky. Hopefully it will pass soon...

sorry to vent, but it's really disappointing when you think you're getting better, and then have a set-back because of your own stupidity.

Hi,

Don't beat yourself up over this, everyone will have a set back once in a while. When you feel good it's hard to resist the foods you enjoy. I love mexican food, i could eat it every day. Now, i wait till it's a friday to eat it, so i can recover over the weekend.

Like NH66 said, don't beat yourself up over it. We all do it. We get ahead of ourselves and then pay for it later. Sometimes, however, it is worth the pain. Like NH66 I save the bad foods for the weekend. I eat my pizza on Friday night so that if I have any issues it will not interfere with work. I also take extra probiotics and/or Beano when I've been bad. I think that helps.
You know what works for me when I'm up feeling bad... Tea. It is soothing and relaxing and usually I get to feeling a little better by the time I'm done drinking my cup.
