I have recently turned C after many years of D. I can only think that quitting smoking has caused this change, but really i guess it could be anything.
I tried my trigger foods, the ones that always gave me D, such as milk, soya yoghurt, oily food and even laxatives and nothing helped me "go".
I found some relief in Chinese tea. I saw a brand that has vegetable sponge in it, and was said to be good for C.
I found it really helped and very quickly too.
It may not be suitable for everyone, naturally. My dad tried some to see what would happen to a "normal" person and it caused terrible D for him, whereas with me, i find it more gentle than any laxatives have been in the past and its not a "Oh my, i have to go NOW" thing either. I feel i have to go, and now would be a good idea but i dont have to run to the bathroom and there is no major discomfort when going.
I am not sure if i am allowed to name the tea here due to the rules of selling etc, tho i have read most chinese teas help this way, but i wanted to say that i really found help with this product and feel that i should mension it for anyone who has not tried.
Do read all ingridients if you choose to try it and i will be totally honest here, it gave me a terrible head ache due to the anti oxidants in the tea, but that was preferable to the pain in my tummy.

You can recommend products here by name, just so long as you're not a salesperson representing that product.

Thanks Keriamon,
the brand i use at the moment is Fei Yan tea but i think all Woolong or Oolong as it is also known is good for C but Oolong tea is diet tea. I was drawn to the veg sponge in the Fei Yan and its recommendation for relief from C.
