To you Ladies, did your doctor ever think when you first mention your symptoms that it was possible it could be ovarian cancer?  my stomach gets bloated right after I eat a small meal. I can't eat alot at one time.  I deal with constipation not D.  I have gas pains all the time, excessive gas.   I just can't get over how bloated my stomach gets right after I eat, I look like I'm a couple months pregnant and I'm not a large person.  I've lost 4 pounds this week, just haven't had an appetite, and when I do eat I can't eat alot at one setting.  I have to go for some more test next week, I think she mentioned a ultra sound and I'm sure there will be others.

Yes, you should get an ultrasound though I found the CT scan a better indicator for me. They couldn't find the ovarian cyst with the ultrasound. Since mine had not grown in a number of years they felt it was not dangerous. Most likely it is "just" your stomach and some probiotics or something that will keep you going to bathroom more regularly will take care of it but it is a scary thought and should always be checked out.

Yes, ovarian cancer can masquerade as IBS. If there's a hisotry of it in your family, you should definitely get checked out. Thankfully, though, it's not a very prevalent cancer, especially not in young women, so your chances of this being cancer are very low and your chances of this being IBS is very, very high.
