Hello guys!
I have been having a fluttering sensation under my right rib cage, and if i push on my stomach right under my sternum, the stomach is very sensative to the touch.  I have been having constant diarrhea and stomach pain about 10-20mins after eating.  Doesn't matter what it is that I eat but mostly foods that are fatty seems to be worse.  Anyone have any thoughts as to what this might be?  Oh, I've had a hida scan done with an injection fraction of 27% about 4months ago and another about a year ago and that was 26%.

hi dragons,
Did your doc say the 27% ejection fraction was normal? I am under the impression that anything below 35% is abnormal.

I used to get that sternum pain you are referring to often. I was 17 when that started and immediately I had an EGD done. It was normal. I was perturbed. I was belching a lot too so my doc concluded I produced too much stomach acid. It wasn't to the point of reflux, it was just too much for me. He put me on Prevacid and it went away. After my prescription ran out I started buying Tagament otc and it worked. Now (over 10 years later) I only get it randomly and usually goes away with a quick antacid med.

Have you been scoped (upper and lower)?

Hi dragons,

Where you describe the location of your fluttering, it does seem like its the gallbladder. I don't have much information to give about the functioning of gallbladders since the only personal knowledge I have is about stones when my husband had his. I hope you can get some answers soon. Did your doc state that they were going to keep testing?

I think Lil's right that your ejection rate is too low, indicating a gall bladder problem. Everything else you describe sounds just like GB problems to me. But don't feel too bad; it took them 3 tests and 5 years before they finally concluded that was what was wrong with me.

I too have occasional fluttering just below my right bottom rib. I have been having pain on my right side for a couple of months, sporadic, sometimes to the point of tears. It is like a cramping sensation anywhere from my ribs to my lower right abdomen, goin area. I thought at first it might be appendicitis. After the 3rd episode in 2 weeks I went to dr. who sent me to have CT scan. Nothing according to results. It has been recurring since then but not everyday. More frequent this last week. There is no change in my diet. It seems to start sometimes around 10am to 1pm and last until 5 or so. Usually when I get home (5 or so) I can lay down and it goes away. It is hard to pin point. I always grab the pain area when it happens but like I said, it can be anywhere on right side from rib to groin. I had a hysterectomy last year, DaVinci method. It doesn't seem to be associated. Dr. said it might be diverticulitis before CT but ruled out. They can't seem to find answers but I KNOW there is something not right. I am scheduled for last possible gallbladder test June 3 as I have had ultra-sound and CT on it last year. This one involves eating ice cream before test. It is hard to deal with as I work in a call center and sitting holding my side while on the phone in pain is not easy! Anyone else have similar symptom? Today the pain seems to be noticeable toward the back side as well.
