I am calling this morning to the Gastro doctor to get an appointment.
I was diagnosed with IBS back in April.  Yesterday I was talking with a friend of mine who is a RN and I was telling her about my when I go to the bathroom that its bright yellow/orange tint to it.  She told me it was my gallbladder.  Last week I woke up a few times during the night and felt like my food was sitting right at the top of my stomach.  It was a lot of pressure.  I did that yesterday morning also.  Then yesterday at lunch I had not ate my breakfast so when we got out of church I was nauseated.  I had to let my children order while I sat down.  Of course I didn't eat what was right, I ate cheese sticks and drank my first coke(sprite) in 4 months.  I had freakin diareaha all afternoon and of course it was yellow and most of the time just pure liquid.   I also had lots of gas.
You think that could have been my problem the whole time?

:-)  Hi, sorry to hear about your issue. I have been in the hospital 3 weeks and I am having my gallbladder checked out here in 2 hours. I have UC and just found out I have C-diff. Have you had your stool tested. Because c-diff is real smelly and can be yellow, I also feel like my food doesn't want to go down.. can't stand it. I would make sure you ask your doc. Good Luck to you mama2

What is C-diff.  Forgive me.

No I haven't had my stools tested yet.  I don't consider my stools that smelly though.

C difficile is a bad bacteria that's easily transmitted via the toilet seat--usually where you have a lot of sick people to spread it, such as in hospitals, nursing homes, and drug stores.

But, given that you have pressure/feelings of being too full, nighttime problems, and nausea, you've almost certainly got a bad gall bladder.  Those are classic symptoms.

Mama 2, I don't know if you came into the hospital with the C. difficile, but it is possible that you didn't pick it up until you got there.  Have someone bring you a bottle of bleach and maybe some of those bleach wipes and wipe down the toilet seat and put a little into the bowl everytime you sit down on it, as the bacteria is transmitted by spores (like mold), and those are not killed by antibacterial agents like most people use to clean with.  Bleach is the only thing that will kill the spores.  Given that this bacteria is so easy to catch in the hospital, that's probably a pretty good sign that most hospitals are not using bleach to clean with, which means that you could be spreading it to anyone that shares that bathroom.  Don't let anyone who comes to visit you use that toilet, and bleach, bleach, bleach.  Otherwise you can wind up re-infecting yourself.  You should do the bleach thing when you get home too until your bowel movements return to normal and you can be fairly confidant that you are no longer infected.

Yeah, the yellow stools have been happening for about a month to month and a half. I don't have diareaha but maybe one time a week and then I do go 2 weeks.   But last week was when I woke up several times feeling sick and like everything was sitting at the top of my stomach.  Yesterday the gas just rolled and rolled on my stomach.  I remember in the past my stomach feeling full like this  must have been my gallbladder acting up then.  I just made my appointment with the Gastro doctor.  I have an appoitment for next Thursday.  I know he will probably want to do a colonoscopy to rule things out.   Yeah! that is what I look forward to.  I thought I had gotten away from having one when I went the first time and he ruled it IBS.  Atleast this will put my mind to ease and tell me exactly what it is.

Make him do a hida scan first. If that comes back positive, colonoscopy eliminated.

I had an unnecssary colonoscopy too, although I did have an "inconclusive" hida scan first. If my bad gall bladder had show up at the get-go, I might not have had to have had the colonoscopy and endoscopy as well.
