Very depressed lately.  IBS pain bad, don't have money to fill my prescription for increased dose of Fentanyl patch (50mcg).  Have last patch of 25mcg dose on; runs out tomorrow.  I do still have Oxycodone for break-thru pain, but doesn't work as well w/lower dose patch, or by itself.  BM's increased as well.  Just have been sick.  Increased nausea and migraines as well.
Husband lost his job last week, not sure if I can qualify for any help or not, as he did make too much money before and we have more than one car.
Saw attorney today for first time r/t disability claim.  He said he is optomistic and wants to try to get an appt w/judge quickly.  I cried a lot today telling my story to the attorney.  I have been very depressed today especially.  I don't know for sure why I got upset at attorney's office; afterall, he is helping me.
Anyway, just needed to vent I guess, Thanks for listening

Floss, I'm so sorry that you are going through this right now. Vent away, that's why we are here. It's good to get it out. Have you looked into medication assistance programs? The makers of Fentanyl may have such a program that might be worth looking into. I hope your disability case does go by quickly and they can expedite it. Don't feel bad about crying in the attorney's office. This is a very emotional time for you and I'm sure that you are not the first to cry in his office. It's understandable. Know that we are here for you.

Take Care

I'm sorry you're feeling so crummy, floss.  Do you have prescription insurance?  Des's idea is a good one; there's tons of medication assistance programs out there.  Your doctor might have some more ideas of how to help you as well.

Don't worry about crying in the attorney's office.  I'm sure s/he sees it all the time.  Probably more than most doctors do!

Thanks for your replies, it really helps to have you all listen and give advice. No, I don't have any type of insurance. I called the drug company and unfortunaltely they don't have any coupons or assistance for this drug. My Mama paid for my Fentanyl patches last night they were $188 and I didn't want her to have to help me, she has already helped sooooo much and she really can't afford it. But, I am grateful. When I do get my disability back pay, she is going to be the first person I pay back. I called Medicaid office once again and they said that until I am found disabled that I will not qualify, but to go ahead and fill out the app. so they are sending it to me via mail. The lady in Medicaid office gave me a # to call in the community to get help with my drugs, but she told me I had to be denied medicaid first and then she could help me, so hopefully I will get some help. I hope so, because otherwise I don't know how I can afford some of my meds and the Fentanyl is the only thing that has helped my pain. I am trying not to be depressed, but sometimes it is hard. Thanks again for the replies and support it means a lot.

Not sure if I should have started a new thread or not, but decided just to post it here; 2 - 3 days ago I got a migraine headache; Off an on - Thursday night I felt really bad and my headache increased in intensity, and felt like I was getting a fever - had chills; Friday am woke up and had a fever of 101. + chills and headache. Abdominal pain on left upper side, but that isn't that unusual for me. Then my heart rate and rythm was all over the place (fast, then slow; skip a beat, then extra beats ) very distinct and could hear it with stethascope very well. Worse with movement, but no other symptoms. Then today I had IBS-C with BM's, but hard and had to strain a lot, so used an enema - + results, with a lot of nausea. Temp today down to 99.0. This is the 2nd time in 2 wks I have had a fever from unknown origin; Anybody elese have any of these symptoms? Any advice would be appreciated. I probably do need to go to the doctor, but I have no insurance and I don't want to go and them tell me some junk - I don't really have a fever now. And my heart rate / rythm doesn't do it constantly, so I am afraid if they do an EKG it won't show up either.

well, i figured out where the fever is coming from: just developed a sore throat that is red ( actually it just burns, but it is red ). Fever is only 98.8 -99.2 last several hours - just took more tylenol because it feels like it is climbing again. Headache has mostly diminished just some very minor dull pain lingering, but my abdominal pain has worsened on the Left side mainly mid- upper left side. Took break-thru pain med, hope that will help. In addition my stools now are only small amt of mucous. Maybe just regular old IBS, I am not sure. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

How are you feeling now? It sounds like you had a bug on top of everything else. I know about not having any money. My father is currently on 2 and terminally ill and my mother recently broke her foot. I have not been able to work since May in order to take care of them. Ive moved back home and my poor mom is the only one bringing us income. Im tired and stressed and probably a little depressed too. Try taking a walk and getting some exercise when you feel up to it. It will help. Don't worry at all about the attorney's office. They see that ALL the time. Its almost the norm for them. Try and remember to take care of yourself. YOu may be developing some anxiety with your depression. Talk to your doc. He may be able to help. Im praying for you and your family.
Always grateful for the blessings I do have!

Thanks scared2getsick and shelter and I am so thankful for the prayers. Scared2getsick, it seems as though you are going through an awful lot as well. My mama is also taking care of her mother who has alzheimers and it is tough; she has moved back in at their home as well & my grandpa and grandma are 83, and they really need her. In addition she babysits my sisters children who are 5 & 1 1/2 yrs old, so she is busy with that too. Care takers have so much stress; they want to do all they can, but they get burnt out so fast and have to keep going; she was finally given the opportunity to get away with a friend on Saturday to go shopping; they had a big time I hear; maybe u could find someone to help you occassionally.

By the way, my anxiety level has become quite high and I have hardly been sleeping at all. Last couple of days / nights I have taken my Xanax and it does help my anxiety level. As for my depression, I am trying to not let it get the best of me as my hubby still hasn't gotten a job. Our cell phones will be cut off today I suppose and that wouldn't bother me, but our son is 17y/o and it bothers me for him. He is such a good child, I talked to him about it and he completely understood. It still makes me feel bad though.
