Hi all,
Anyone else regretting the fun they had with food yesterday (4th of July)??    I hadn't felt too bad in a little while and got too cocky with food yesterday.  We had my daughter had her boyfriend over and I'm afraid I went a little overboard with the food...........Hamburgers, Brats, polish sausage, cucumbers in sour cream, broccoli salad, potato salad, corn on the cob, chips.  And for desert, a cream cheese/strawberry trifle.     Needless to say, I've spent alot of time on the pot and am nauseous.    And in a half hour I have to go have a sinus CT scan done!
I wonder what did it? .........all the fat, or all the dairy products?     Sometimes I think I'm a little nuts because I know something might bother me, but it looks too good to say  no to.    Plus, what makes it confusing is that sometimes I can tolerate these things.......I just never know when.
    Anyone else suffering today?

I hear ya, Cathy! I did the same thing. I did, however, double up on my probiotics... I think it helped because I'm not too bad today.
You know what I think it is? The sausage. I find that because of how processed sausages are, and also the skin on sausages, it causes trouble. I couldn't resist though, I was all over the Cheddar Wurst yesterday. Yummy!
I do also think the combination of all the grease and fat doesn't help either. You don't normally eat like that so your body's not used to it. I say load up on tea. I find that after I indulge and I'm nauseous beyond belief, it helps to drink tea. My favorite is fresh mint tea, but I also like chamomile and lemon grass. If you can handle ginger tea it might be the best for you right now.

I guess by now your CT scan is over... How'd it go? Were you able to make it without having to run to the restroom?

Hi Lil!

I was thinking the same thing.......about the sausage. Just that one link had 22 grams of fat in it!! Actually, I had the big meal in the early afternoon with a hamburger, and then later in the day I had a polish sausage. I just never eat those things. When I do buy hotdogs, I get the lower fat ones.
This is probably a silly question, but since my gall bladder tested fine (with a hidascan), what is it about the fat that my body can't handle? Does it react with other parts of the intestines to cause the problem? Maybe the rest of the intestines just can't handle the bile??
That was nice of you to ask about my sinus CT scan. It went fine. Except, as usual, I have weird feelings. I had diarrhea right before the scan, even though I had taken pepto bismol 3 times earlier. Fortunately, it behaved during the test!
But I had to lay on my stomach, which always makes me feel awful. Then I had to lay flat on my back for awhile, and it always feels like all the blood in my body goes to my neck and head. What fun! But its over! I brought home a copy to take to the next ENT, but I can't make heads nor tails of it! haha I guess I"ll have to wait for the doc to tell me what it shows.
Thanks for the suggestion about the tea. I did stop and buy some activia yogurt, because it does constipate me. But I have the feeling that the pepto will finally kick in and I'll be stopped up for a week! Can't win I guess!
Thanks Lil!
