redface  am so sick of ibs help please i no am ment to have lots of soluble fiber to make a poo i have linseeds weebiax my stomic just swells up i go tolite when eat them but get so many pains help please what am i doing wrong

Hi Jamie,
If I remember correctly you have IBS-C (constipation)... Have you tried prune juice, aloe vera juice, Miralax (osmodic laxative), probiotics, yogurt, or Digestive Advantage? What has your doc suggested?
If you're having a problem with your specific fiber supplement then you might want to change it up. My doc had told me that Psyllium was the easiest on the gut.

Some food sources of soluble fiber include oats and oat flour (mmm, oatmeal with peanut butter - my favorite!), carrots, citrus fruits, psyllium husk (like Lil was saying, it's a particular supplement).  I'd just get a supplement but start out SLOW or you'll blow up like a balloon.  Take a quarter of the recommended dose the first two days, then half, then three-quarters, then the full dose after about a week. 

It will get better.  Drink lots of water and get some yogurt too!
