well, it mostly depends on the person. The safest way that the majority of IBSers can eat veggies is cooked, sometimes the raw veggies are very hard to digest. Apples are loaded with fiber so if you are having fiber sensitivity right now as I have seen in your previous posts, you make want to go slowly with those. Peels are also loaded with fiber and sometimes harder to digest so that is something to keep in mind.

I have IBS-C/A. I find that melon, peaches, nectarines don't bother me and seem to be easier to digest. Of course, everything is peeled first. Pears which I love seem to be a bit harder to deal with - maybe because I don't like mushy fruit. I'm not a fan of cooked vegies, but I do steam some of them, just to soften them up. I've been doing ok with some salad greens lately - very small portions, except raw spinach. It's really a matter, for me, of keeping track of what works and doesn't and then slowly trying to re-introduce those "iffy" things back into my diet a small bit at a time. I'd much rather eat fruits & vegies than meat, so it's really hard on me. I've had to learn how to balance things and honestly, I'm not really that good at it!
