I have posted not long ago with my problems I was having and not being able to figure it out after having a dx of crohn's and then being withdrawn. I went to the gynecologist for a check-up due to not feeling good. I thought maybe it was related to my female parts. She did an exam and said that my uterus was enlarged and scheduled an ultrasound. She believes there's some fibroids in there which could be causing some of my problems. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for any input.

Haven't had fibroids, but I hear they can cause pain and I would guess pelvic pressure as well, especially if your uterus is enlarged.  What are your symptoms?

I have alot of pressure and a feeling like there's something in my uterus I need to push out. I definitely am not pregnant. I have alot of pelvic pain and difficulty when having a bowel movement. When I am having a bowel movement, I can feel pressure in my uterus. My periods have been getting longer and I feel really sick when I am on my period and ovulating.

Ouch, that sounds gnarly...I feel for you.  Has anyone talked to you about pelvic floor dysfunction?  It can cause pain and pressure in the pelvic region, especially while having BMs.  It could just be your uterus that is causing the problems, though.  Are you of child-bearing age?  On birth control?

When do you see you gyn again?

The gynecologist wanted to wait two weeks and then do the ultrasound which is scheduled for 8/15. I am 36 years old and have one son that is 14 1/2 years old.I am not on birth control. the gynecologist just said that she wants to get the report from 4 years ago when I had a very large ovarian cyst rupture to see how much my uterus has grown.

My mother used to have fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometreosis, you name it. She had her hysterectomy when she was about 30, and had her ovaries removed when she was about 40 because they had stopped functioning entirely and were totally covered in cysts. She said she felt a LOT better after she got over having her hysterectomy. I think she's been feeling better since getting her ovaries out as well, seeing how now she's on hormones now, but before she was having to do without because her ovaries didn't function. If you don't plan on having more kids, getting all of that stuff out may be the best way to go; eliminates future problems.
