I would think so, yes. I used to get terrible pains in my lower back when I was on my period and my uterus is towards the front; I don't know why the intestines couldn't also send pain back that way.

Yes.  Absolutely.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common disorders that affect a growing number of the world population. It affects the rate at which one’s bowel is able to process human waste and can thereby cause abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, backaches, depression, fatigue, weight loss, diarrhea, bloating, rectal discomfort or weight gain.

Constipation is very painful and yes it can cause pain in your back. The pressure and bloating which accompanies constipation is usually the culprit. Have you seen your doc about your symtpoms? Have you tried any OTC remedies? I hope you can get some relief.

Sometimes Celiac's is hard to catch. And sometimes people have an intolerance, which isn't the same thing as an actual allergy. Have you tried taking yourself off gluten just to see if it helps? Often the low-tech methods are the best tests when it comes to your guts.

Keira--I did try and buy some products which are gluten-free, but, OMG--they cost a LOT of $$$! I bought a loaf of gluten-free bed---it was small, but cost $6.00! I am on a budget to begin with--so, I had to skip out onother thingS! I haven't completely converted to gluten-free, but each week try something different......

Some of the items don't taste so good either (SIGH)! But, that is life! I still have that in the back of my mind too!

Hello, I'm Kota and a member of a few different forums. Also new
I have had IBS/contipation for along time...course every new symptom has made things worse. I become extremely bloated and the pain starts in front and radiates to my back. I wish I was more regular like some other members of my family but I inherited this from my father. All of us kids have IBS...I just have the one w/ constipation. Hope this helps answer your question
