Just looking for some opinions... does yoghurt make your IBS worse rather than better? Is it a better idea to take probiotic pills instead?
My IBS flared up again a couple of weeks ago and i had been ill with a flu-type illness, so i decided that maybe i needed some good bacteria in my gut. I've been eating yoghurt every day since then but really overdid it on Thursday night - had a big bowl of it. Woke up 6 hours later with diarrhea and also passed a lot of pink mucus (blood-stained?) and have had rectal pain since then but it's now easing. Has anyone ever experienced this?
