help please with info

Hello everyone
I am in need of some knowledgeable help with a problem that has recently developed
Over the past 2 weeks I have bee struck with very very severe stomach pain it is very severe it started in the left ares of the stomach and seemed to move to the lower center part it was accompied with blood streaks in the stool no diaherea it lasted about 2 or 3 days and went away and I felt fine to have it return in a couple of more day s as I said it has happened 3 times now in 2 weeks I have no history of this or any other stomach problems I ussually post on the chronic pain forum as I have severe chronic low back pain and take a drug called Oxycontin for it and this medication did nothing for this stomach pain or it did and the pain was far worse than I felt I honestly felt that I had been poisioned because it returned 3 times I had no vomiting or flue type sick feeling with this and had a appotite and it seemed to just spontaniously go away only to return in a few days Please can anyone offer any help/information on this I thought maybe Diverticulitis but the symptoms do not really match up with what I endured with this
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You should see your GP and ask him/her to refer you to a GI, your symptoms could be related to inflammatory bowel disease (crohns or ulcerative colitis).

You should definitely visit your GP about this.  Severe pain shouldn't be ignored.  Just keep in mind they'll likely want to scope you.  Please let us know how it goes!
