HI Brad. I don't have much to share but I'm sure someone will be along to help out soon.

When my mom had her tumor removal surgery they were able to give her an idea about the tumor the day of surgery. Of course she had to wait for the offical results to come in, but the doctor let her know something right then. So maybe you won't have to wait the extra 10 days.

I'm sure they will send you to a dietician after surgery and they will give you lot of good advice. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Hey Brad! Wow, I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. My mom had her Kidney removed because of a tumor about 40 years ago. It was about the same size yours is. When we were talking about it she said that getting the kidney removed made her feel so much better after words. So after your kidney is removed the pain should get better fairly quickly. My mom is now 72 years old and very healthy, happy and hasnt had any problems with her other kidney.

As far as the diet is concerned, have you thought about seeing a nutritionist? They will be able to help you get a good diet started for you.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing and how you do during and after the surgry!!! I will be praying for ya and sending hugs your way!

Hi Brad, I hope you're getting back to this page, so you may be will read this site:
I've known this man for years, read his story and consider the treatments that helped him. I have followed his suggestions and had a surgery on my right kidney for the same reason, my surgery was in 07. I had a tumor measuring 3 cm, and the type was named renal cell cancer.
Warm thoughts,
Crohn's disease is located in jejunum/ileum, which is called jejunoileitis. We're just a few with this type.
Diagnosed 07. Started 06/07 with prednisone, continued in 09/07 with LDN, Low Dose Naltrexone.
Combines LDN with a Low Dose Prednisone (from 10 mg and down), just for some weeks if flaring. Fish oil with omega 3, DPA and DHA.
