Hi LexXxus, my middle daughter's left kidney is a duplex kidney. She has just turned 7, and I found out as she gets a lot of UIT's and had an ultrasound. I am not sure if it causes her any pain, but I would love to hear more about how it affects you as I worry about what may happen in the future. As a side note, my youngest daughter\s left kidney is in her pelvis. Thankfully my eldest daughter's kidneys are normal and where they should be, although I did get a very strange look from the sonographer when I asked her during the ultrasound!
Diagnosed with Crohn's April 2009 after suffering for over 20 years.

Current meds: 6mp, Salofalk granules, somac, Vendolizumab clinical trial, mobic and panadol osteo.

Also dx with Spondyloarthritis of the sacroiliac joints and psoriasis.

Hey LexXxus! I just found out that I have duplex kidneys! I'm only 18 years old, and I'm finding it hard to accept the fact that I'll probably be ill for the rest of my life.

Another part that sucks is that there are very few internet resources about the condition, so I could barely find anything on the matter.

I'm seeing my urologist on the the 5th of May (I've been seeing on for a year now every 3 months because of a constant UTI for 14 months and counting) to see what he has to say about it, but I don't think much will be happening to help as far as I know cry

I really hope you get this, cos your post was almost a year ago! We only make up 1% of the population, so us duplexes need to stick together smilewinkgrin

Any luck coping with it at all?

Thanks a lot!
