The holidays are really rough on us Alan . . . take good care of yourself and rest, rest, rest. Make sure you are taking your meds on time and at the proper dose. If you are going into a flare, make sure to check in with your doctor first thing in the morning, as you may not be able to reach him afternoon or Tuesday.

There is a post on Flare Care in the topic "Lupus Resources" . . . link in my signature.

Some hot tea for you brother!!

Blessings!

hi Alan,

Sorry you're in a bit of a flare up.  I wore the lovely mask the entire month of October.  I had to get a new passport that month, and holy mackeral, what a brutal picture.  As if a passport photo on your best looking day isn't bad enough, LOL.  You should see this beauty.... I look awful!  And I have to have it as a reminder for the next 5 years, LOL.

I hope it all gets under control really quickly for you.

I'll see your lupus rash and raise you a discoid rash with a clear nose?

Please don't think my response insensitive, that is not my intention. Sometimes I feel as if I don't laugh at myself with this disease all I'll do is cry (and sleep). Just an afterthought on my post.

Hey, humor is one of the best meds I have! Of course, sometimes it is trying. At the supermarket this morning, I was exhausted and this lady asked me to move because there was no room. I admit, I lost it. I shouted, "Hey Lady, can't you see? I'm frickin' handicapped. I can't move at your whim."

I felt bad saying it, but it did feel good afterword.

I use a cane and have severely painful back issues besides the autoimmune problems.

I'm a bad boy!

Oh Alan, that's funny!  What a stupid thing for her to say to you.  I think I'd throw some venom her direction as well if it were me!  I agree, humor is so important. I need to laugh at myself on a constant basis, or I'd be in tears all day long..... LOL.
