I heard from Carol (Okie) earlier today - she left a message saying she was going to the hospital with trouble breathing and she would update me when she could about whether or not they would keep her and what they thought was going on.

Send any prayers and/or positive thoughts Carol's way - I think she could really use them.

Update: Just a quick update - it sounds like Carol's doc is going to keep her in the hospital to try to get things under control and keep things from getting worse.

I heard from Carol today and they are going to keep her in the hospital until Sunday or Monday. She says she's okay as long as she doesn't move. As soon as she moves even a little bit she has a really hard time breathing and has unbearable pain. They are running lots of tests. When I talk to her again I'll let her know you are all thinking of her and sending her prayers and positiv thoughts. I feel so bad that she has to go through all of this and that all of us have to deal with this rotten disease.

Carol,

I'm sooooo sorry I haven't been on here.  I have been sick myself and unable to get out of bed much.  I want you to know that you have been in my thoughts and I pray for a quick recovery and that you are home soon.  You're in my prayers.

Carol,

I've been so out of touch but you haven't been off my mind. Hurry up and get out of that darn hospital and back home. Is this still the pneumonia? By the way, in which hospital are you? If it's close to me I'll try to make a trip up to see you. Sweetie, just take care of yourself land know that we're all out here rooting for your health to improve and praying for you. I also hope you can continue to get home health care when you get back home. Please let me know if there's anything at all I can do for you. I'm not that far away.

Lots and lots of hugs,

Pat

Carol,

I hope this finds you at least having less pain. Are they giving you anything for the pain or does the condition of your lungs make that too risky? I so hope that this ends soon so you can get back home. Lots of prayers for you along with a wish that I could see you and help make you more comfortable.

Love xoxoxoxo,
emmie

I talked to Carol yesterday and she really appreciates all the prayers and positive thoughts and love. She sounded pretty bad yesterday and said she was actually feeling worse. They have her on a really high dose of IV steroids as well as IV antibiotics. I hope they can get her feeling better soon so she can get home.
