I seem to be alternating between such heavy fatigue I sleep all day and night and being unable to sleep. I actually do not feel like it is the pred. taper because I am not any worse at a lower dose. I think it is being 6 months pregnant with lupus, but still am not happy. The baby is doing fine and I have as of yet gained no weight. I may even be losing weight now that the pred is coming down. I also have lost my apitite so when I said I was hungry this morning my husband jumped on it and ran to McD's and got me a breakfast meal. Apparently I am worrying him since I rarely want to eat anymore. Funny, at 10mg I was hungry all the time at 7.5 and 5mg I am rarely hungry. Anyone have any ideas for the fatigue/insomnia or the lack of apitite?

Oh, hanging in there is definately what I intend. I have 13 weeks until the baby would come home with me if born. 10 until the baby would be okay but require several weeks in the NICU. I figure I can hold out 13 weeks. This pregnancy is so much easier than the others. Being tired is something I expected but the insomnia and the lack of apitite are weird.

Hi Redrose:

Sorry to hear you're dealing with fatigue. I'm worried about you not gaining weight with this pregnancy, I can see why your hubby rushes off to Mac's to get you food. I'm wishing you the best and I hope you can hold out these next 13 weeks. Wishing you the best.

Love,
Barb

The baby is growing very well, actually on the high end of normal so the doctors say no worries about the weight.

Hi Redrose,
I'm glad to hear your baby is doing well. Maybe over the next couple of months you will put some weight on. With both my kids, I gained most of my weight in the last trimester.
Hang in there and take care. Keep us udated. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
