Hi. I need some help. I have to do a 24 hour pee test and am a bit confused confused   Am I supposed to pee in the container when I wake up then all day, then again when I wake up the next morning, or am I supposed to skip the first morning pee?

You are supposed to skip the first morning, collect for 24 hours and get the next mornings first pee. I just did one last month, good luck!

I agree with Stacy, just make sure you keep the container in ice or the fridge. Good luck and take care.

Yes, skip the fisrt morning pee and keep the second morning pee. Aren't those 24 hr tests fun??? Let us know how things go and what the results are.

Take care

Yes, the first morning urine is skipped and then collect the second morining urine and you are finished. At the Mayo I did not have to keep mine refrigerated, there was a special "disk" in the container. Your lab will tell you if you need to keep it refrigerated.

Good luck - this is the most annoying test ever! (Oh, I'm sure there are some much worse, but, this one is quite annoying on the "Annoyance Scale"!) LOL!

Hi KaAl:

Yep, everyone's given you the correct information. Make sure you keep it in the Fridge or on ice. If you don't keep it cold you'll get inaccurate results.

Let us know how the test turns out. Sorry you're having to do the test.

I had to do 2 of them back to back, a couple of weeks ago!!!!  48 hours of peeing into jugs..... Yes, it ranked way high on the annoyance scale!
