I've thought about getting one because my muscles feel like they are numb sometimes and when that happens it feels like a vibrator will be good. Than when they hurt I think it might not be the wisest thing to do because it might make my muscles hurt. Anyway I was just curious if you ever use anything on your muscles? I guess instead of 20 points I should do it all at once. I just never think of everything at one time.
.
thanks

We have one of the massage things and sometimes it feels good on my muscles and sometimes it hurts. I have to say that the thing that helps my sore joints and muscles the most is my electric blanket. I also have an electric throw that I keep in the living room to use while on the computer or watching tv.

I had to laugh when I read the title of your post. It sounds a little x-rated, so you gave me a little chuckle this morning.

LOL only you would think that hippi! No actually I changed it because I thought the same thing after I posted it. I slept with my heating pad last night and rosie had made me some of those bean bags and sent them to me. It works perfect for over my shoulder when i am setting up because i get really bad burning pain in my left shoulder.
Not feeling good today. I think it's just plain old sick not A/I sick. My throat burns down into my chest. I took my meds this morning and immediately started feeling like I was gonna puke.(sorry) It never bothers me to take meds. I could take 10 pills with just a swollow of coffee on an empty stomach and it doesn't bother me. But today???? Than the diarhea started. Hopfully this is just a morning thing and will go away later. Plaq. somtimes gives me diarhea. (what this has to do with a vibrator I have no idea) LOL. This time I feel like a messager with help is when I feel like I have RLS. which I don't think I have I just imagine it would feel somthing like what I feel. Like my muscles are in a twilight sleep in my legs and the bottom of my back. I'm probably just getting old.
well shoot my hands are starting to shake again so I guess I'll get off of here. Ya never know what I'll type next.
love ya

Hi Carol,

I know some people that do use them for muscle pain and it works well for them. I tried it before but, due to my fibromyaligia it made that pain worse. Like Hippi, my electric blanket works well for me and sometimes soaking in warm water.

I hope this gets better for you soon. I'm sorry your feeling so bad today...((Hugs)). Take care and keep us updated.

Hi Ya Bab's! thanks hun. I don't have fibro but I understand what your saying. I have days when if you touch a spot on my arm I'll go through the ceiling. Somtimes the last thing my muscles need is to be beat on. Other times it feels like that's the only thing that will make me comfortable. thanks for the input. How are you doing today? I have a lousey shaking in my hands that started about 2 months ago off and on and today is bad. It drives me nuts. I know "short trip right?".
love ya

Hi Carol,
I know what you mean about the tender spots. A long time before I was ever dx'd with anything if someone touched my arms or legs it really hurt and I thought they were being rough..lol.
That shaking sounds awful sweetie! Did this start after taking a new medicine? When do you see the doctor again?
I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking. I'm having problems with my eyes from sjogrens and still have bronchitis but, other than that, I'm doing good.
Hang in there sweetie, you are dealing with alot of different problems right now and I know it is wearing you down. I wish there was something I could do for you...((Hugs)). Try to get as much rest as you can. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bab's your's eyes and Braonchitis. Well that sounds just lovely! eyes My husband used to have his arm around me and would just gently run his fingers on my arm below my shoulder about 6 inchs. OUCH! It feels like a nerve that is setting on top of all my fat or somthing. lol. But to push on it it doesn't hurt. weird. I don't know what the shaking is from I wish I did. I figure it's one more symptom. (sigh). That's why I thought it might be MS but my doc said no or it would effect my eyes.

You need to get some rest too. How long have you had bronchitis? People around here have been getting that and ending up in he hospital with pnemonia so please be carful.!

love and prayers

Hi Carol,
I hope your doctor finds the source of the shaking soon and gets it under control. I know when I was having tremors everyday it was so annoying. It's strange how we get these odds symptoms and all of a sudden they stop...weird!
I have had bronchitis for about a month now. I took a round of antibiotics and using advair but, its sticking around. I will call the doctor this week and see what she says. They will probably do an x-ray with the lung problems I've had. Oh, I'm getting plenty of rest...I have been short of breath so not doing much at all other than working and being lazy... :-) .
You take care and keep us updated.

(((((((Carol))))))))))

Did the shaking start today??? Maybe if you have D form the pills or being sick, some of the meds your body is used to just exited your body too fast to work?

Yes, it sounds like you've got another bug sis . . .sorry.

I do massage where I can reach and I use a rubber ball for my back by leaning against the wall and dropping the ball behind me. If you get it just right you can work at a bad spot that way. Or you can ly on the floor and have a ball under your back. . . but that is too much pressure sometimes.

You might need to be careful of a vibrating massage if you have neuropathy . . . not sure what that would do to damaged nerves . . so another question for the doc.

I have received massage certificates as gifts (yeah!!). I have to be careful if I'm in a flare because massage can sometimes make me fell worse. But I've found one lady who really knows how to work the stiffness out of my neck, hips and lower back. I have had some great relief from some bad hip pain for 6-8 weeks after seeing her . . . so now I just go for 1/2 hour (less expensive) and she works just on those trouble spots. Hubby and one of my sons are thrilled because they always know a great gift for me!!

I wish you were feeling better. Not sure if you have a bathtub (or just a shower), but if you are able to get into a nice warm bath, that might soak away some of your aches. A cup of epsom salts in there is therapeutic too.

Sending you some more hot tea!

Blessings!

I tried a foot spa/jacusi thing my twin found next to a skip! (a dumpster I think its called in America) It had a post-it on it saying "Never used, please take" she did!
We did run it through with disinfectant.
I tried it a few times and thought it not bad. but sometimes it sends feet awol. Now I wont use it.
It shoots up all the nerves and sends me mad, funny though, about an hour after using it for even five minutes. feet feel better, sort of desensitised.

Hey Carol...

Hadn't see you post in a couple days - was worried about you...

Didn't you say the doc upped your pred recently?  I have tremors from the prednisone.  Now that I've tapered pretty far down, the shaking has settled down.

How is your stomach doing?  Any better?

Hi Dakota, thanks for sharing about the shaking. Yes she did up my pred. to 20mg from 5mg. My stomach hasn't been bothering me much lately as far as pain goes but I havn't eaten anything worth mentioning in 2 days. I don't have any appetite. I ate a slice of turkey last night and it tasted aweful. Nothing is tasting good right now. Not sure what's up with that. Somtimes I think the plaq. gives me bouts of diahrea.

take care hugs
