Hi Everyone,
I just saw something I thought was very interesting on a very popular news channel. Instead of putting a particular name or station on here I just wanted to let you research this for yourself.
If you google, "what are the benefits of eating hot peppers?"  You will find some interesting info such as:
1) Hot peppers helps fight inflammation.
2) Helps fight colds/flu and breathing problems.
3) Helps fight certain cancers.
4) Helps Intestinal problems.
There are several benefits to this from what I saw and read.

(The one thing is if you have stomach ulcers or can't tolerate hot peppers this is not good for you.)

I just wanted to share this with you.

Thanks Bab's. After living in arizona for 25 years they have some seriously hot food in AZ. I love hot peppers and I always ate them on everything. When I have a cold I eat them too. It will at least get my sinues draining. Boy if it would help my breathing I would eat it on my corn flakes!
love ya

LOL Carol,

Corn flakes and hot peppers...lol.  You can always make us laugh even when you are feeling so bad. I don't like hot peppers but, if this is true, I will eat them regulary for some of the benefits. I also saw where they help with wt loss and headaches...hummm.

I've heard of peppers helping with weight loss!  That's one of the factors that helped my friend lose weight. She's a highschool teacher and she brings sliced peppers and pretzels in for lunch nearly every day.  She went from I think a size 12 to a size 6.  we should take stock in peppers!

It's the capsaicin in these hot peppers that is the key : ) I know I'm going to prescribe good ol' cayenne pepper tea to all of my patients with rhinitis, sinusitis, all those other upper respiratory infections...it thins mucosal secretions, has anti-inflammatory properties, and is just all-around fantastic. Although I agree it could be tough on sensitive tummies.
