sad   I think I asked this question somewhere on this forum, but don't know where it is?  I asked my Dr why my face goes red so much.  It's not everyday, but alot of the days...and not 24/7.. My face/neck chest get red after I shower/bath.  My face is read around the nose, cheeks..not the whole cheek...and above my eyebrows...it's not itchy.  My Dr says it's roceacia?? (sorry for S) Adult acne. I do not have any pimples.. I've had this for 5 years or more.  I did think it was hormonal?  But he doesn't say that...Question is: Is Rocasia part of Lupus?  or something totally different...I have also been getting small red type rashes since 2004..started on the top of my feet and neck.  it's the size of a nickle; red, then scaly, Now I get them on my hands, face, head, neck, legs...pretty well all over, it's not all over at the same time...they last a few weeks and go away, but leave a dull brown/grey circle spot, sometimes it fades away.  I have had some on my back end as well.  I went to a derm in 2004...said it looks like psoriasis...but then other dr say no...but did give me cortison cream which helps...but doesn't stop them from coming back..I will have a few months without any..then they start up again and last a few months..??  Any idea...I will go back to another derm when they start up again...they just stopped...

I'm not sure what post this question was in . . . but the response was: see a dermatologist. He may decide to do a biopsy on one or more of the round circle spots and he will be able to distinguish between rosacia and butterfly rash. Make sure to take pictures of your rashes in case they disappear before your appointment.

Blessings!
