Hi everyone, just wanted to update you on the Psyciatric Assessment I had that the insurance company wanted me to take since I do not yet have a Dxs.  The psyciatric is quite surprised that I'm not depressed or anixous since all the testing and specialists I have seen and not been Dx..she stated that the results prove that something is wrong and me coming into the office with a cane and smiling ?? Well, she will send a Letter to my Dr, stating she feels I'm fine (in the head), and hope all the best for me.  She did say if I ever need her to call her...she said people do at time get depressed and anxious waiting through all the tests and not finding anything.
take care

Hi quack, glad to hear your head is on straight. I'm glad you brought this up because I forgot to call about getting counseling. I'm pretty depressed at times. I hate being sick, or not being able to do things most people can do at my age.
I'm actually kind of surprised you aren't depressed. It usually kind of goes with the territory. But I guess not always.

Good luck with your doctor.

that's what the Dr said, I think part of me is just trying to stay positive and not get down...trust me at time I do get down...But with this Assessment, the Dr had to decided if the symptoms I have are in my head or real...you know she actually got me worried now...oh oh...I take quite afew pain meds to help me through the day, if I try to not take them. I can't move.. so, now that this part of complete, maybe I can get to the bottom of this?  I have had so many Neuro  and Dr say...she might need a psyc..if you know what I mean.. oh well...enough yakkin...take care and ttyl

Like okie i do go to therapy to help me deal with all of this. mentally he say's i'm the sanist patient he has, lol. At the same time I have my days were the depression takes over the positive thinking...for me i can only handle so much pain & fatigue that I allow myself to cry 15 minutes a day, just to release it and the frustration of being 42 but feeling like i'm 62 and the wait of starting my treatment. Thats great though if you have a postive attitude all the time and done have to deal with the depression part:) How long have you been ill with the lupus?

eyes  I think alot of it is that I've only been married for a 3 years and feel like I'm still on my honeymoon...silly eh.  I've been ill for just over two years and it gets abit better, then alot worst.  I will now be going to another Rheum for another opinion and more tests etc...Maybe this one will find out more...and I so have more symptoms since I saw my last Rheum....
I'm glad I found this forum and feel like I have friends here that I can vent with and ask all sorts of questions..thanks for being so friendly and just being here.
Take care and hope everyone feels better soon.
