I have been having contractions. They are not causing any changes in my cervix so I was told unless I have 4-5 an hour I am okay. The thing is that I am under even more restriction now. Even if I could fit behind the wheel of my car I am not allowed to drive. And the official no sex ruling came down. I have to stay in bed even more now too. I am not allowed to lift ANYTHING, which means unless hubby is home no time on the laptop until we can arrange it so my bedside table can move around. Basically this means my time online will have to focus on my classes cause they are important.

(((((((((redrose)))))))), boy that is scarey especially with your history. Don't worry about posting unless you really feel up to it. Hopfully hubby can get you hooked up with your laptop real soon. You have to think about you and the baby right now. I hope you will get a chance to get on here at some point so we can keep up with how things are going.
take care

(((( redrose ))))) you take good care of yourself and listen to your doctor, it will all be worth it when you are holding that little bundle of joy in your arms. Take it easy and post as often as you can to keep us updated on how you are doing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am doing okay today with no contractions. I start antibiotics tonight because I have been running a low grade fever off and on with my ears hurting so bad I could cry. Maybe the contractions were caused by an infection but no one knows for sure.

Take care, redrose. The infection you speak of could very cause the contractions.

If you and your hubby can swing it, I recommend buying a new product from Belkin (got mine at OfficeMax for $29.99) for your laptop. It is a small, lightweight laptop table for your lap. It connects to your laptop via USB to run a fan which keeps your laptop cool when you have it on your lap or on a bed. Just an idea I thought I'd pass along to help out with your online classes as well as HW time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you!
Prayers,

I am doing okay, having to pee every 10 minutes isn't fun. The pain in my hip and knee is really bad. I didn't get any sleep last night. I will likely sleep all day if the pain meds ever kick in. I may need something else for pain but I have no clue what else I could be given. I hate needing narcotic pain meds but during pregnancy none of the stuff I usually use is safe.

I am still having contractions off and on but it looks like they may be the legendary braxton hicks I always heard about but never had in my other 4 pregnancies. I am totally in shock about that because my other 4 pregnancies all followed exactly the same course as far as what happened and when. This one is way different. Everyone keeps saying every pregnancy is different but the truth is I never experienced any real difference until this pregnancy. Perhaps being in remission and having my lupus treated may very well be what was needed in the past. I was in full flare during my other pregnancies.

I wish I knew just what kind of problems in pregnancy could be blamed on lupus but my doctors all say lupus is unpredicatable and can cause really weird things to happen in pregnant women.
