After seeing Rheumy last week and she said I do not have the soreness in the trigger points to allow her to diagnose me with fibro. But with normal labs again and so much wide spread pain she wanted to give me medicine for fibro to see if it works. She gave me Lyrica 50 mg 2 times a day and Skelaxin 800mg 3 times a day. It is working I can not believe it I am still feeling bad but not as bad as I did and that is at least a start.
Does anyone with Lupus, UCTD, or MCTD have soft tissue swelling in your hands or feet the morning after using them more or standing a long time the day before?
-Kasey

positive labs for MCTD and sjogren's 10/05-2/06, Since then all labs normal, Doctors refuse to make diagnosis right now! Rheumy medicating me as if I have fibro but I do not have any sensitive trigger points.

I have SLE and MCTD....I don't have swelling in the mornings, but after i've been on my feet for a while my feet do swell.
Good luck with the new meds, I hope they help you.

I have SLE and RA and I get swelling in my hands when I use them and in the mornings. Happens with most of my joints truth be told but is much less severe now that the RA has been treated awhile.

I have swelling in every tissue from head to toe, mostly due to prednisone! Did you have it before you started the meds? Judy

Hi Kasey, just wanted to say I'm glad to hear the meds are working for you. I hope you continue to improve. I don't have a DX but I do get swollen feet mostly in the mornings. Usually right around when I'm having a flare though.
