The pre-eclampsia may be reaching the critical point. I wanted to let you all know that I am having contractions and if they do not calm down in the next hour I will have to go to the hospital. I am not sure if I will come home if it comes to that. I feel as if I am reaching the end of what my body can take- my feet are very bad today, the skin feels like if anymore fluids are retained it will begn to crack/split. I am hoping that the increase in fluids will help but am unsure. I am beginning to think I may be forced to delier at 32 weeks and stay in the hospital until then if things don't calm down.
If I end up in the hospital I will not be able to get online. The doctors said the baby will be fine so long as I manage to get to 32 weeks because he is growing properly and I am not an addict, he just may need a few weeks in the NICU.

Good luck, redrose. I'll pray everything works out fine for you. I had my daughter at 35 weeks, and now she is the healthiest of all of my kids. Rest, relax, and do as the doctors order.

Redrose,

I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you.  Please take care of yourself and your baby.  Try not to get to nervous or upset about this all because that will make your blood pressure worse.  Just try to relax and let the doctors and nurses tell you what you need to do.

Take care and let us know how you are doing.

Mary Ann

Well, the doctors sent me home. They bumped my bp med up the last time they can. From here a second med will be needed. Apparently the contractions are doing nothing so far. Since they stopped and baby's heart rate was good I do not need to be hospitalized yet. We will see next week if that changes. Thursday they are doing an ultrasound to check baby's size. I will be 31 weeks tomorrow so as long as nothing else happens between now and then next Wednesday I will have made it to the absolute minimum point for delivery to result in a healthy baby with no long term problems.

Hi Redrose, I'm glad that things are going ok. It sounds like they are watching you and baby very closely. If you would like to send me an email my addy is available. That way I can send you my phone# if you do end up in the hospital. I don't want you to be there without support for all of us. Well, it's just an offer if  you want to think about. I understand if you don't want to.
Keeping you and baby in my prayers
hugs carol

Thanks Carol. Right now, I am hoping maybe they will figure this out and I can wait to have the baby closer to the end of next month. I really do not want to have the baby in the NICU if it can be helped.
