My ultrasound today went well. Baby is now head down and about 3lbs 9ozs. So far the contractions I have had are not causing any cervical changes as per ultrasound measurement compared to one taken in the beginning of the pregnancy. We will find out on the 1st if the blood pressure med change worked or not. From there we will have to decide what to do. I am 31wks 1day so in 6 more days the baby will be at the point where we can expect a good outcome no matter if he is born early or not. I will let you guys know if I can myself how next Tuesday goes, if not I will have my husband post for me.

Sounds like everything is going well. It's so exciting to see the little one on an ultrasound and to know that all is good. Hope the meds did the trick. Good luck next week.

Thanks to everyone. I am feeling a little better about how things will go from here on, but am thinking about asking that if my blood pressure is not controlled by the latest med increase that the go ahead and hospitalize me so that they can monitor it better. The baby was in the 48% range on size compared to average for how far along I am and is now in the 42% range. While this is not a huge drop I know high blood pressure can seriously affect blood flow to the placenta which impacts growth and a host of other issues. It would not be for long, 3-4 weeks max but the fact the fluid retention keeps increasing worries me somewhat. I just want to be sure this baby will be okay no matter when he is born, and a crisis is hard to detect at home with no way to monitor anything.
